How are you making the world a better place?
\nI won’t give too much away, but I’m proud to say no one walked out while I was speaking, so that’s something. LOL
\nIt’s personal. It’s honest. I share my journey of growing up as a young Black man, not only finding my voice but learning how to amplify the voices of others. I also talk about allyship, what it really means, and the people who’ve played a part in helping me along the way.
\nIf you have some time today, I’d love you to head over to YouTube and watch the talk. Let me know what you think. Feel free to leave a comment and subscribe while you're there, and if it resonates with you, please share it with your network. It would mean a lot, and I really believe it’s an important conversation.
\nHave a great week!

Read Time: 2 minutes Happy Sunday 👋🏾 Hope you're enjoying the sun we've been blessed with this week. Make sure you get those rays of vitamin D in while they last. Not sure how long the sunshine will stick around for! Sheri has already handed me a list of things to sort out in the garden. That includes fixing the fence, cleaning the garden furniture and jet washing the decking and patio. Wish me luck. Before I get stuck into the garden chores, I wanted to share something that I’m genuinely excited about. Last month, I quietly launched my YouTube channel. I told myself I’d wait until I uploaded a few videos before sharing them with you, and now feels like the right time. The latest upload is a talk that means a lot to me. It’s a recording of my keynote at the Black Leadership Conference, titled “The Legacy We Leave Behind.” You can watch it below. We all leave a legacy. Whether we realise it or not, the way we show up, the things we say and do, the choices we make each day, they all leave a mark. And it doesn’t have to be some big, world-changing thing. It’s often the everyday moments, the small acts we repeat consistently, that shape the world we leave behind. What legacy are you leaving? I won’t give too much away, but I’m proud to say no one walked out while I was speaking, so that’s something. LOL It’s personal. It’s honest. I share my journey of growing up as a young Black man, not only finding my voice but learning how to amplify the voices of others. Watch below:Quote of the Week“I want to leave a world where my son or any young person is judged by their talent and ability, not the colour of their skin. And to do that, I need to speak up and challenge the status quo.” - Lawrence Tijjani Have a great week! If someone forwarded this to you, Subscribe here. |
